Independent Testing Reveals Why Our Porous Concrete Can Help Prevent Flooding

AquiPor just received 3rd party testing results on the absorption rate of our technology.
Why is this important?
According to ASTM C 128, our technology has an absorption rate of 11.3%. This shows that our technology can act like a "buffer tank" during rain events, storing large amounts of water and slowly dissipating back into the ground without overwhelming the sub-grade below our concrete. Unlike standard pervious concrete.
We often get questions about the potential for “washouts” or even sinkholes below the concrete, and this single test shows how our porous concrete can naturally mitigate these effects.
These testing results also point to the active filtration capability of our concrete, as opposed to just passive drainage. Because of its extremely high porosity, our technology has much larger surface area for water treatment. As we continue to perform rigorous independent testing on our technology, we're putting together the blueprint for municipalities and developers to better manage stormwater and flooding, with AquiPor.

solutions for change

We are asking you to join the AquiPor team on our mission to help bring infrastructure into the 21st century. The challenges presented by urbanization, climate change, and dilapidated infrastructure are only getting worse, and the opportunity to make a difference is equally large.
